Ceramic porous support plates

KeraNor's isotropic, porous ceramic support plates can be used as setter plates for sintering of precision parts (e.g. made of LTCC), for membrane applications, and as host material for ceramic matrix composites (CMC); newer applications include fuel cell and battery bipolar plates.

The plates are made of alumina with pore sizes from 1 μm to 15 μm and with a porosity range of 25% to 35%. Plates are available in disc shape, rectangular shape or customer specified shape. Important properties are the high mechanical strength and good corrosion resistance.
